Online Safety
Online Safety at Park Primary School
At Park Primary School, we believe that learning how to stay safe online is just as important as learning how to stay safe in the real world. Online safety is woven throughout our computing curriculum and helps pupils make positive, responsible and safe choices when using the internet and digital devices.
We use Purple Mash to teach age-appropriate online safety skills and reinforce safe online behaviour. Through Purple Mash, children explore topics such as privacy, communicating respectfully, recognising risks, protecting personal information, and responding appropriately if they feel unsure or uncomfortable online.
Supporting Families at Home
We also want to support parents and carers in helping children learn safe habits outside school. Below are links to trusted and helpful online safety resources suitable for families:

Talking About Online Safety
We encourage families to:
- Have regular conversations about the apps, games and websites your child uses
- Set and review appropriate boundaries and privacy settings together
- Talk about how to respond if they see something worrying or upsetting online
At Park Primary School, we are committed to helping every child become a confident, respectful and safe digital citizen — both in school and at home.
If you ever have any concerns about online safety, please contact your child’s class teacher or the school’s safeguarding team.
