SEND
At our school, we believe that every child is unique and has the right to feel happy, included and supported to achieve their very best. SEND stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and refers to children who may need a little extra help to support their learning or development.
Children can have SEND for many different reasons. This might include difficulties with learning, communication, behaviour or emotions, or a physical or sensory need. Some children may need support for a short time, while others may need longer-term help. Whatever their needs, we take the time to get to know each child as an individual.
Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to make sure all children can take part fully in school life, learn alongside their peers and feel a strong sense of belonging. We support this by adapting teaching, offering extra help when needed and creating a positive, nurturing environment where differences are respected and celebrated.
We work closely with parents and carers, listening carefully to your views and working in partnership to support your child. Where appropriate, we also seek advice from specialist professionals to ensure your child receives the right support at the right time. Our goal is to help every child grow in confidence, develop independence and enjoy learning, both now and in the future.
