We have six house teams represented by animals, colours and key life skills.
We teach the children these life skills across our curriculum – which is called the ‘Park R.O.A.A.R.R. Curriculum’.
The skills progression for R.O.A.A.R.R. is defined across PSHE but we aim to incorporate the skills into as many subjects as possible.
Children (and staff) earn house points for displaying the skills in their learning and conduct.
Each team has two house captains drawn from Year 6. The house captains ‘apply’ for the role at the end of Year 5 and are interviewed by the previous house captains and the head teacher.
The house captains are set various challenges throughout the year. Their most recent challenge was to create a PowerPoint presentation and lead an E-Safety assembly.
