Dear Parent/Carer
Whether you have deliberately chosen Park Primary School for your child or they are attending because you are in our catchment area, we would like to welcome you and your child to the school. We know that you will find it a very friendly and caring school where your child will be helped to reach their full potential.
The governing body is made up of 12 people from a variety of backgrounds and with different skills, from parents, the local community and staff.
The Governing body is responsible for ensuring that the school runs in a safe and responsible way, meeting its legal requirements and providing consistently high standards of teaching which allow your child to make good progress in learning and achieve the goals expected of them.
Every member of the Governing body is interested in all aspects of the school and so the Governing Body meets each half term to oversee the running of the school. This includes receiving reports from staff, questioning staff members present, affirming what we see as good or outstanding and challenging where we see areas for improvement. Governors also visit the school on a regularly basis so that they can see what is happening on a day-to-day basis.
We are pleased that parents, carers and children consistently say how happy they are with the school but should you have any questions or concerns these should firstly be addressed to the appropriate staff member in the school. Should you feel that there is a need to contact the Governors then this can be done in writing via the school.
On behalf of the Governors may we wish your child every success and happiness at Park.
Kind Regards,
Irving Webb

Information
Hello,
My name is Emma Wragg and I am very honoured to be given the opportunity to join the governing body. I am the Head of Vega College which is a new Alternative Provision for Key Stage 4 students in Doncaster. I have spent the last two years as Assistant Head and SENDCo in a Junior school in Askern and before that spent 21 years teaching across the primary age range. I bring my love of animals into work with me to support the pupils in the form of therapy/reading rabbits and my dog Buddy. All enjoy the fuss and the students benefit greatly from their unconditional love and calming nature.

Ivyanne Collinson
Information
Hi, My name is Ivyanne and I am a parent Governor at Park Primary. I started my role October 2019, when my child started school at Park Primary. I have really enjoyed getting to work alongside the staff to ensure we are delivering the best for all our children. I am a friendly and outgoing person with 3 children of my own.
My experiences outside of school have led me to a passion for SEN and in order to utilise this strength I am currently the governor for Special Educational Needs. I like my role as a governor as It enables me to see the school from a different view point which I find really interesting. I am also on the Maths team which I find incredibly exciting and talking to the children about their learning is fascinating.
I hope to continue serving as a governor at Park as I am excited to see where our journey will take us.
