We are looking for passionate individuals to join our hardworking, happy, and dedicated staff team.

The role involves supervising the children in the hall, on the playground or field or in the classrooms if wet and helping put the tables and chairs away after lunch.

We are looking for a Midday Supervisor who is:  confident, calm, patient, kind, caring and enthusiastic

  • proactive, organised, reliable and flexible, with good attendance and time management
  • willing to learn new skills and develop in your role
  • responsible for supervising the children whilst they eat their lunch and during their playtime
  • able to work as part of a team and also be able to use your own initiative.

We are looking to appoint an inspiring, caring support worker with the drive and vision to be part of this continually improving school (Ofsted – January 2024). The post will be initially for three terms.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Parental influences have a powerful effect upon children’s attitudes, achievements and life outcomes. The role of the PSA is to assist in tackling underachievement by working in partnership with families, parents, carers and pupils in a school context, particularly the most disadvantaged.

 

The role of the PSA is:

  • To take a proactive role in tackling underachievement by working in partnership with families, particularly the most disadvantaged
  • To enable pupils to have full access to educational opportunities and overcome barriers to learning and participation
  • To work directly with parents in a non-judgemental way, empowering them and their families to gain the most from the educational opportunities available
  • To work on preventative and early intervention activities within school including the involvement of, and collaboration with, specialist services and other agencies.
